"It's true that you won't find great depths of interpretation on this album, but I'm not sure that was the point... note that it was released in 1985 on CBS's "Light Classics" series. I see it more as a continuation of the experimental exploration of tone color popularized by synthesists such as W. Carlos in Switched-On Bach. Listeners considering this album might want to note that Mr. Slawson has self-published more recent albums, including _Bach on Wood Variations_ which includes most of the tracks on this album plus a few more."
