Especially early and obscure broadway shows. Flower Drum Song as an example.

well, I'm here. I don't do the obscure much, though. Phantom (Yeston/Kopit NOT Phantom of the Opera--though I have that too) and Secret Garden are about as obscure as I get.

I'm here too, though collecting more than posting. Still, I've posted a few, including some duplicates from my collection.

I'm brand new to Swap a CD, and love Broadway show tunes. Right now we're listening to Avenue Q (a lot, as my son just saw the show this week); Hairspray (movie's coming out); and revival of Gypsy (Patti Lupone's reviving it yet again this month at City Center). As for early and obscure shows, what do you mean? Bells are Ringing? (yuck)

I wish it would fill up too,  I posted some but they went fast.  I think it's going to take more than a few of us at a time.  I think we should promote this site on broadway boards like broadwayworld and others.  Maybe spending a little time and money at used cd stores in the interest of helping build up the site and this genre would be good too.  Just some thoughts.

My collection of musical theatre soundtracks includes, "Romance, Romance," "Anyone Can Whistle," and "3 Guys Naked From the Waist Down."

If you sense a theme here, they all have Scott Bakula on stage.

I've been known to travel across country to see him perform on stage, from Los Angeles to Washington DC.

Naturally, I'm looking for anything else to be available for me to snatch up!

Is it wrong to plug a CD of Broadway Tunes I just happen to be trying to unload? ;)  This little gem is going to get dusty!  Not obscure, but a few of the classics.

And who doesn't LOVE Scott Bakula?  Is he one of the '3 guys' mentioned in the title lol?

I concur- this genre needs much much more love.

And I LOVE Scott Bakula after his work in Cats Don't Dance.
