Ship it the way you would want to receive it.

If you ship without the case, please fortify with cardoard or clam shell.

On behalf of the membership, thank you.

A clam shell is a plastic case that holds a CD.

I hate that most people are not sending the case, but they will put a piece of cardboard in with it. It cannot be too much more freight to add it, & it would protect the CD more. I live in a tiny, microscopic town, where I do not have the option to go out & by extra cases when I need them.

Get your cases the same way you get your CDs, online.

The help center (upper right corner of the site) is also very helpful for giving info on packaging and sending CDs.

Dana,

Cost is an issue for me, and this site does not require sending the case; in fact they say the case is often broken during mailing.

I use the "cheapie" method for shipping that the owners of this site suggest.  For 75 cents I can send the original artwork, disc, two pieces of posterboard, printed mailing sheet, packing tape wrapped all the way around and tape to the folded corners.

If you want the case, why not PM the sender asking for it and offering something in exchange? I understand that it will cost at least $1.80 to include the case ... plus there might be costs for buying bubble mailer envelopes or bubble wrap.  You could just buy some empty cases to put your swap CDs in.

As for myself, I have an iPod and once I load the music, I have no interest in keeping the artwork or case.

It's better the case breaks than the CD. I'm glad I have a job that will help me pay for the extra postage to send it the way I like to receive it.

Peace and love,

Steve
