Topic: Can credits be freely given, or must they be sold?

I’m just curious, because I see many people here who say they have credits they don’t know what to do with, meanwhile some people have no CDs moving out and do not generate credits from sending CDs, I have a small bit of money in my SACD account that I can’t use because I’m not generating any credits. I’m having trouble getting the trade mechanism to work in my case, and $3 per credit seems a bit steep considering I was hoping for more of a trade situation. Thanks for reading! |

The $3 credit price was established because SwapaCD has 2 sister sites - SwapaBook and SwapaDVD. Credits can be moved across sites, so a low price for credits on this site, would hurt the book site (for example). The $3 credit price makes sense for the book, because mailing costs (a minimum) of $2.75. Anyone is free to give their credits away, no strings, no deals. People buddy credits all the time for unpostable stuff. You can try to offer a deal 2 for 1, etc. in the Discussion Forum - CD Bazaar, for CDs on your tower. That may get things moving.

Thanks for the reply TracyB. I wasn’t sure about all the intricacies of the credit system. I have 0.98 in my account and 0 credits so I guess I just need to earn/buy 2 credits to use my balance.
