I'm really curious and puzzled.  Besides postage to mail CDs out (in order to receive credits), what did you see that you have to pay?

Remind me, please, when I see obviously wrong data in the data base, how do I report it and/or fix it?

Example: MP3 samples of a different album entirely

I just looked here, probably for the first time.  Too busy browsing music and swapping for it, I guess.

For a while, I listened to every one before marking it received.

Then I moved and no longer had a CD player handy.  So if the disk looked OK, I marked it received.

Now I've started ripping CDs to my computer to put on a music player  (hooray!!!, I'm almost in the 21st century).  I assume that if Windows Media Player rips them without an error, that they are ok.

Techies in the SACD community--is that a good assumption?????

Hokay, I've scanned the forum back to Feb, and not seen a mention of this.

Who can tell me what the orange checkmarks mean on current transactions in My Account?  So far as I know, these showed up about a week ago.  The green checkmarks mean DC or printable postage.  What's with the orange?????

I haven't noticed any difference in the information available in Details, yet.  The 2 I have are En Route to Me.  I have one that I've mailed.  It shows the same sort of info in Details, but no orange checkmark.

THIS HAS BEEN TAKEN

I have the 2-CD set of Forty Licks, with book and back inserts.

This is free with a 2-credit order from my tower.   The corners of the case and artwork have been chewed, but are still easily readable.  The last 4 tracks on Disc 2 have been damaged.  So this is actually 'Thirty-Six Licks".

I will include this set as a freebie with an order for at least 2 credits from my tower.  I am adding about 50 discs, mostly rock.  Posting the wish-listed things first.

I checked CDs by Nicholas Gunn.  A couple were green for "available".

Mysteriously to me, one of them showed both a W for wish-listed, and A for auto-request!!!!!!  Don't quite see how that is possible.

I'm speculating that it might mean only that someone has it on a wish-list, on hold.  But I would not have thought the system would be designed that way.  Another idea is that the person who has it wish-listed is out of credits right now, and PBS is giving them 48 housr to get some and respond.

Your ideas???  I looked a while in the Help Center, and did not see anything that specific.

I received at CD that skips 2 or 3 times in one track.  Have not officially "received" it yet.  Do you consider brief skips in one track enougn to mark it as "received with a problem?

I just received a CD with $0.59 in stamps on it. Don't know if a stamp was peeled off in mailing. There's no postmark.

You can always buy credits. It's still a good deal. And you can transfer credits between PBS and SACD. Individual members on PBS often have credits for sale for a little less than the PBS kiosk does. I don't know about this on SACD, whether there are members who sell extra credits. On PBS, bookpurrsn usually has credits; others do too.

I'm wondering, are you asking about forum postings, or CDs posted to order? For the CDs, I believe they can be displayed at 25, 50, or 100 per page. There's a button at the top of the page to change among these options.

SORRY, MY GOOF. SEARCHES AND THE WISH LIST HAVE THIS, BUT APPARENTLY SOMEONE'S CD TOWER DOES NOT. Default seems to be 10 per page, as you saw, and I don't see a way to change it either.

SACD sent out a survey the other day; this looks like a good suggestion to put on it.

I know zip about sites for inserts, but I saw a post or testimonial mentioning allmusic.com. It was new to me then, and has an awesome amount of info. Well worth checking out, might even have covers.

Have you sent something on "Send us Feedback" (left-side menu near bottom), to report this problem? That's the best way I know of.

I'm not sure what the "etiquette" is on this. If I mark it received before playing, is there any way (in addition to a PM) to identify a problem later? I've not noticed a way.
I don't want to hold up someone's credit, but I also would rather be sure if possible. How do you folks handle this?

This is an older release, Damn Yankees. My nephew is familiar with the music already, I think. Thank you for the idea.

I ordered a CD for my nephew. He tried it, told me it made an odd noise in the player, and he was concerned about it. I checked the Help Center, but did not notice anything applicable. There is no visible damage. Is a condition like this meant to be a postable CD?

Suggestions on whether I should report this as received with a problem. I'm not comfortable with reposting it for someone else.
