"You can't lose with this one. K. 306 is simply marvelous, rushing with immediate excitement and beauty. This is the kind of performance that makes you really love Mozart. The players combine an understanding of the material with their own sensibilities very well, and the result is a perfect chamber performance. This was my first encounter with Biondi and I was really impressed. Tverskaya I know nothing about, but as a fortepiano lover I quite enjoy her playing on this disc. The recording quality and balance is excellent. I have Jaap Schroder and Lambert Orkis performing K. 380 and I can say that the Biondi/Tverskaya team is quite a bit better. Schroder is a much drier performer and his instrument is less pleasing to listen to. If only Biondi would record some more of these! For good period performances of the Mozart violin sonatas, also try: Hobarth/Cohen and Luca/Bilson."
