The spirit of Les Dissonances is one of bringing together disparate worlds. The ensemble, which varies in size according to repertoire, plays without a conductor and highlights contemporary and past composers with absolute freedom in its choice of programs. Such autonomy enables the musicians to fulfill their first objective, which is to reach new audiences that might have been intimidated by classical music in the past, and enable them to see the major works of the repertoire in a different light.
