NOW: version Latino!

"WARNING: This album is marketed toward young adults who watch MTV 3, MUN2, etc!
If you are hoping for a more "World" type mix, "NOW" is not the title for you. Just as it is with the English-language CDs released by "NOW", this collection is a grouping of the most popular songs in the "Latin" genre in the U.S. a.k.a. popular music. And what's hot right now in Spanish-language is pop and reggaeton! As far as variety within popular music, we think they did a nice job. It includes "Por Ti", the pop/electronica hit by Mexican group Belanova, a healthy grouping of reggaeton jams from the "Kings" and others, the unabashedly bubblegom pop group RBD's single "Este Corazon", Frankie J's smooth R&B vocals on "Pensando En Ti", superstar Colombian rocker Juanes' hit "Lo Que Me Gusta a Mi" and more.
Recommendation: Most teens and twenties Latinos who listen to Spanish top 40 stations will enjoy this disc, just as we did.
NON-recommendation: Older music listeners or those looking for tropical music (salsa, merengue, bachata), regional Mexican, Tejano, flamenco or anything else that's not topping U.S. billboard charts will be confused and disappointed.

"This CD is only pop and a few reggaeton songs. How does that represent the best of Latin? There is no salsa, merengue, bachata, or anything. I was hoping for a nice mix, of top songs from the year in every latin music style. You WILL NOT get much out of this CD. The only reason I gave it a rating of 2 is because I do like 5-6 songs on it. But there should be 20 #1s!!"
