A real great 1-CD compilation from GETDISCONNECTED. Nice selection - Better sound! They aren't all full 12'' original versions (BUT THEY'RE GREAT).-

2. - Savage Lover from the Ring (6:48) VERY RARE ON CD. Originally released on 1979 Vanguard records 12'' (6:40)
3. - Cuba (Quiero bailar la Salsa) from Gibson Brothers (7:50). Originally released on 1978 Mango records 12'' (7:45)
4. - Miami Heat wave from Seventh Avenue (6:02). Originally released on 1979 AVI records 12'' (8:56)
5. - Ring my Bell from Anita Ward (6:15). Originally released on 1979 TK records 12'' (8:08) ... get the full length version on GRAND 12-INCHES 3.
6. - Come on and do it from Poussez (7:44). Originally released on 1979 Vanguard records 12'' (9:50) ... get the full length version on POUSSEZ (Poo-say) from GETDISCONNECTED CD.

"This release looks like a cheap knockoff from the pre-downloading era; the scant track information, cheap graphics and complete absence of liner notes looks very poor in comparison with today's deluxe reissues. Luckily, there are some great, obscure tracks in this series (vols. 1-3) which rightfully rescue them from the bargain bin. "Savage Lover" and "Fear" are particularly good, but most of this stuff is GAY GAY GAY from back in the day - if you were around in the clubs late 70s/early 80s this will definitely tickle your ears, but if you like melodic (euro)disco with traditional song structures you could do a lot worse."

"The editorial leads you to believe your getting the 12 version of Ring My Bell. However, This 12" has been edited down from 8 to 6 minutes. The back of the cd also lists Feels Like I'm In Love by Kelly Marie instead of Run To Me. Since you only get 10 songs this is really below average. Honestly I don't remember half of these songs but, it was nice to get Roni Griffith."
