The band broke up in 2004 but the songs on this album remind us that they truly were "a seamless blend of soul and funk." Their songs often were social commentary and sometimes created controversy. The Rays are still around, recording as the studio band for Catfood Records. This album is a reminder of what was and what could have been if Kay Kay and the Rays were still together.
