I feel so regret that why Hogwood didn't record more bach cantata??
In BWV82, we could find more version, includes centre-tenor, mezzo-soprano, baritone, and bass. This is what Bach revised to use for different purposes. I deeply love this song, and collect more to compare, I must say we would find seldom mezzo-soprano version in market but Kirkby in fact would be one of the most outstanding, she shows different bach to beautiful and clear artistic conception. For these reasons, I strong recommand all to collect it to listen, a different Bach what it's not easy to get." |
