This was my first ever Isbin recording

"This recording actually had a full length picture of her on the cover (needless to say, I find the new cover rather disappointing), but that's not initially what attracted me to this album. If you notice on the description, this recording is only one disc. I got this on one disc at a time when the complete lute suites were on two discs (somewhat like getting "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" on the ultradisc - MCA only offered it on 2 discs at the time). The performances on this disc are very well done. Mic setup is very good (so many times on digital recordings you can hear the fingers going from fret to fret - that's not the case in this recording, but you do hear the plucking, and that's the beauty of classical guitar). This recording stands up very well to any of the guitar masters (Segovia, Bream, Williams, etc.). Her interpretation of Bach is very good."
