"Jaw-dropping. It will blow your mind. Best appreciated in video form - but once you've seen the video, you'll want to own the CD to inflict upon your friends. It's the most sickeningly sugar-coated, terrifyingly perky, soul-rapingly cutesy J-pop you've ever heard. It's like chugging undiluted soda fountain syrup, in a room painted in Day-Glo colors, after ingesting large amounts of a certain substance whose name begins with "L" and ends with "SD".WARNING: This song WILL get stuck in your head and antagonize you for weeks - while driving in your car, eating lunch, trying to get to sleep at night, your world will be consumed by YATTA."

"If you don't know what Yatta! is all about, you probably won't know what to make of this CD. Do a search on the web and you'll find out all you need to know (watching the music video is a must).Basically it started as a sketch from a Japanese comedy show that grew way out of proportion thanks to the Internet. A band of Japanese guys called Happa-tai ("leaf team") dances around in fig-leaf underwear while singing "Yatta!" ("We did it! / All right!") and about how they're so happy. It's hilarious and must be seen to be believed.The CD has only the one song (plus the karaoke version and a remix), but it's such a great song it's worth every penny. It will stick in your head and never leave, until you find youself succumbing to Yatta fever. Yatta!!!(BTW, if you saw Happa-tai on Jimmy Kimmel Live, they sing much better in the CD than they do live.)"

"Oh god, this is the funniest song in the world, err well the song isn't so funny as much as the video is funny, you must see the video, i command you to download the video, you will not be able to stop laughing. Just picture 6 japanese guys in whity tighties with a leaf over their privates dancing and you got yourself the yatta video!"
A Japanese Version Of The "Village People"!

"Yatta! is one of the most entertaining and catchy tunes I've heard in a long time. "Yatta!" loosely translated means "All Right!". Sung by a group called "Happa Tai" (loosely means "Leaf Team" or "Green Leaves"), they almost sound and act like the Village People. I highly recommend that you find the video clip online and/or order the mini all-region DVD which is available at a website called "J-List". You'll get a chance to see six grown men, dressed in nothing but clean cut hair styles, and underwear covered with a big green leaf, on stage, and other various outdoor locations, singing and line dancing (shades of the Village People) to this very catchy tune. The song lyrics are actually about a group of college students taking a satirical look at the Japanese recession...as long as they have their health and their one leaf as clothing, they're happy-go-lucky and everythings "All Right!". Lots of fun!"

"YATTA! is now my new favorite Japanese catch phrase, and I am constantly looking for opportunities to inject it into my vernacular... even though this j-pop novelty phenomenon happened 2-3 years ago, and among those who are not so behind the curve, shouting YATTA! at life's little triumphs has got to be tragically, terminally unhip.
Don't care. I love this song! I love these six guys guys dancing in their ridiculous tighty-whities! I want to strip to my skivvies and join them, although I am past 45 and more than a little overweight. You've got to see the video to appreciate this ironically unironic hymn to exuberance. I downloaded it off gnutella, and then watched it about 25 times. While apparently making fun of boy bands, these guys are great performers and are just perfect. YATTA!"
