CD Reviews

The Theroy of Everything
Mike Weiss | Los Gatos, Ca | 02/14/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The first thing you'll notice about Ziakas is the amount of thought and ingenuity that went into the packaging of their disc. So you might think that must be where it all ends. Well you couldn't be more wrong if you were caught in a compromising position with the family pet. The second thing you'll notice about Ziakas is their groundbreaking music. Remember where music was before the Pixies or Pavement or Nirvana? A blessed mixture of fuzz, melody, samples and cool beats. Their music displays so much texture and feeling you'll wonder how other bands get away with that mass-produced garbage. Finally, you'll notice Erin. She has the voice of a sultry 50's diva, making you wish you were there with her...anywhere with her...swaying...while she sings. Ziakas, Notice Them!"

"I heard the audio files on their web site, and totally enjoyed them! A refreshing tonic from the mire of mediocrity in music today. This music is authentically very good and I know what I'm talking about."
