"This is a good album on a lot of levels, even beyond the fact that the songs are catchy, have good melodies, are creative, and the musicians are all very good.On this album you will find some of the most uplifting and inspiring lyrics, over top of fast, energetic, and catchy skate punk songs. These are the songs that put a smile on your face and you sing to yourself for days.
On this album you will also find some of the most depressing, downbeat punk songs ever recorded. On the songs like "Everybody's Whore", Jim puts so much into his vocals that the effect is just spine chilling. With his voice he can pull you down into his world, of hopelessness and despair.
And also, there are angered songs about the state of society in America, statements of much needed change. This cd shows the great person Jim Cherry was, a great song writer and musician, also, a very diverse person, that could be both very optimistic and pessimistic, but more importantly, always thoughful, and it shows through his lyrics. Jim will always be remembered for his work in Pulley and Strung Out, but he will be most remembered for putting out this album, a
testament to the hard times he faced, and his determination to overcome them. R.I.P.
Jim Cherry"

Great thought-provoking, ...-off-at-the-status-quo punk

"Like other reviews say, this band has ex-members of Strung Out and Pulley, 2 amazing punk bands. The talent that they brought to those former bands was definitely carried over to Zero Down. This band, who is in total obscurity, has put out an amazing cd, and it's a shame that not more punk fans don't know about it. Some of the most intelligent lyrics I have ever heard in a cd. If smart lyrics are your thing, this cd scores an A+. But it doesn't stop there. The catchy melodies are present throughout, and you won't take this cd out of your cd player for a long time. This cd has a constant style but it doesn't get old. They vary song length also. Song 12, "The Best" is barely over a minute long, but I consider it a stand-out song. If you like the bands that the members of this band were in previously, the odds are that you will enjoy this cd tremendously."

"So take Jim from Strung Out, Milo Todesco from Down by law, and John McCree from War called peace, and you got Zero Down. This CD is an amazing release. I would write a longer review, but I want to keep this one short and sweet.13 Songs of raw melodic/skate punk. Being eighteen I can really take songs like "Going Nowhere" and feel exactly how Jim does. Every song on here is just a masterpiece. Catchy, with good lyrics. If you're a fan of punk music, be sure to get this CD. One of fat's best releases. It's wicked.
