Zen Rock and Roll is a music project dedicated to the fusion of rock and art music. The pieces on Zen Rock and Roll's CDs End of the Age and The Birthright Circle incorporate elements of rock, nineteenth and twentieth century art music, and world-music performed and recorded in ways reminiscent of classic art rock bands such as Genesis and Yes. The songs are from six to twenty-three minutes in length and range from rock verse and chorus structures to more complex forms that stem from classical and romantic traditions.

The Birthright Circle is the second CD release from Zen Rock and Roll. It is composed and recorded in the spirit of the British symphonic rock movement of the early 1970's and will certainly appeal to fans of the first album. Tracks include the dysfunctionally angry Thanatos, the agnostically advisory Anthem, the ironically upbeat Richard, and the 23 minute realistically hopeful Circle.
