Synopsis

Product Description
Young Chris and Young Neef aka Young Gunz are back with a new studio album entitled "Rapid Fire", the follow up to 2005's "Get In Where U Fit In Part Two". The Philadelphia duo builds on their success that started in 2003 with "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" that was featured on the State Property's "Chain Gang Vol. 2." Their first album "Tough Luv" peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 moving well over 100,000 in its first week and immediately following, released "Brothers From Another" and then "Get In Where You Fit In." Since then, the Young Gunz have established themselves as "youngest in charge." Growing up in the Nicetown area of Philadelphia, their upbringing was everything but nice and Chris and Neef continue to borrow from their experiences with drugs, gangs and poverty and spit hard, real-life lyrics over heavy beats from the hottest hit-makers to turn negative into positive. After listening to "Rapid Fire" it is obvious that these two 23-year-olds who already have four albums under their belt simply can't stop and won't stop until they've solidified themselves as the only rappers in charge -- period.

CD Reviews

Decent album from Young Chris f/ Neef & pooda Brown

(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is more of a Young Chris solo album, as he is on all 16 songs, while Neef is only on 3 and Pooda Brown is on 5. Since they first signed to the ROC as late teens, Young Gunz had a nice buzz as put out a very good debut album in "Tough Luv", but they fell off over the past few years, releasing 2 mixtapes (I have one that is pretty good) and a sophomore album (which wasn't that great, maybe 3.5 stars). Through that time Chris has always been the stronger of the 2 on the mic, so this album is pleasing to me, as I think he's the better one of the group. Of the 16 songs, 1 is almost a classic, 4 are ok, and the other 11 are good. Other than Neef & Pooda Brown, guests are on only 4 songs, rapping on 2 and doing the hook on the other 2. A nice album to have for fans of Young Gunz or Young Chris.
