Synopsis

Album Description
Monday nights at the HotHouse in Chicago is something of a weekly warm up ritual for swing dancers in Chicago. Just like a good breakfast in the morning fives you the energy for the rest of the day, Yoko's Blue Monday jam makes for a great start for the rest of the week. Word got around, and the few dancers have now become many every Monday night. The dancers and the band are now soulmates, and the result is a new CD, "Struttin' With Yoko", recorded live at the HotHouse in Chicago. Highlights include classics like "Tuxedo Junction" and "It Don't Mean A Thing", deeper tracks like "Mama, He Treats Your Daughter Mean", and originals such as "I Confess", and "Hothouse Blues II". Put on your dancin' shoes -- it's time to go swingin' with Yoko and the boys!

CD Reviews

Swingin' with Yoko Noge's and the Jazz Me Blues Band
C. Luckinbill | Carpentersville, IL USA | 10/23/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you love dancing to Blues and Swing, this CD is a must. Every track is dancable. You'll be groovin' and movin' to a sound that won't let you stop. The true sound and spirit of the band is captured.
Every Monday night I head down to Balbo, just off of State, in downtown Chicago to dance to and listen to this band at the HotHouse."
