CD Reviews

An exotic and colorful collection of quiet songs.

"I have really enjoyed what comes from the Sequoia Records label. The "Hotel Tara" label is my favorite release so far but "Yoga Salon" is a close second with a quietier but more exotic flavor throughout the collection. One of my favorites is "Swan" with a slow but beautiful rhythm and gray-sky evening mood and "After the Dance" by David Gordon which is a beautiful mix of jazz, rock, and New Age. This is highly recommended."

"Not a disappointing track on the CD....all mellow, rhytmic, mesmerizing, but not too heavily techno, which a lot of this type of music turns out to be.. .. which is ironically, a bit unorganic for the type of mood that is being marketed. Varied enough to hold your interest, but the individual tracks flow nicely into and out of one another. If you like to de-stress withhout the far out space music that frankly puts me to sleep, you should enjoy Yoga Salon"
Yoga Salon Exotically Enchanting

"Yet another supremely sublime release from the Sequoia Groove label. I loved their recently released Hotel Tara and this release is as great, if not even better, with more sensationally serene and spicy Indian-flavored downtempo/chill-out tracks from Artemisia, Jaya Lakshmi, David & Steve Gordon and an array of great new artitsts. I esapecially love"Nama Sankirtana (Yoga Mix)" by Wynne Paris with vocals from Kim Waters of Rasa. This release covers a wide gambit of moods, from smooth and sultry to the up-beat and inspiring with a healthy infusion of sitar, tabla, sarod and other exotic eastern insturmentation mixed with some incredible European backroom electronica back beats. I see this CD having a lot of uses, from relaxing, to doing Yoga or just hanging out with friends and socializing. Yoga Salon really does it up right."
