Synopsis

Product Description
The members of Yakuza Heart Attack have been playing in various Dayton bands for years but came together as an outlet for more progressive, compositionally based tunes in early 2005. The bands home for performance has been downtown Dayton, but having gained a modest local fan base they are ready to spread their sound WORLDWIDE. Each member of the Heart Attack has an intense love for a variety of artists, which conveniently merge into melodic, keyboard driven art rock. Sounds good!?!? Yakuza Heart Attack has in fact been described as good, and even 'great' before. They have also been described as NES-Core, which is the hardest of cores. Check them out if you like: enormous synthesizers, video games, early electronic music, sheer beauty, four men sweating, and the tears of Jesus.

CD Reviews

If god wrote music....
E. J. Webster | Matoya's Cave, Dayton, Ohio, USA | 06/07/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"...it would be boring and trite compared to the glory that is Yakuza Heart Attack. Drums that would wake John Bonham from the dead, flowing synth lines cascading like a waterfall of bits, bass like the pulse of a solar system, and that trademark "Southern Hills" guitar stuntery all combine to make a grand stew of instrumental perfection. This album should be handed to every newborn baby to be enjoyed whenever they're developed enough to listen to this album without their brain straight exploding."
Yakuza=Wendy Carlos=Bach=Pink Floyd=Dreaming?
D. Weaver | Lexington, KY USA | 06/06/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you have listened to the following 3 records, this will make sense:

1) Yakuza Heart Attack - Yakuza Heart Attack

2) Wendy Carlos - Switched On - Brandenburg's Vol. 1

3) Pink Floyd - Darkside of the Moon

Yakuza bring the rock, bring the education and bring the noise. Listening to Yakuza Heart Attack is like getting a lesson in cohesion. Sure, Yakuza didn't study under Bach directly, but the synthesized patterns make you want to believe that Bach found this four men in their dreams and forced them to create nautical rhythms.

Did I mention that these dudes probably love Pink Floyd? I bet they do."
