Tracks that should have been on the album.

"AT THE END OF THE DAY is a nice song that complements Xymox's album Phoenix nicely. However this review will have little to do with the title track of this CD single. If you ask me just get the Phoenix album and grab lots of wonderful tracks. Heck even the "Endless Day Remix" isn't worth getting worked up about. It's mindless house drivel with no direction. That all being said this single is still very much worth getting for two reasons: DREAMHOUSE and DOWN TO EARTH.

These two songs are incredible. DREAMHOUSE is such a perfect techno track that I find it worth putting on even current electronic dance mixes. It's trancendental and moody and grooves all at the same time. Anke sorta sings on this one and her sultry voice just makes the music that much more hypnotic.

DOWN TO EARTH is more of a Phoenix song. As a matter of fact it SHOULD have been on the album. That's how good it is. It has a similar feel to Mark the Days only it takes a slightly different path. A slightly better path in my opinion (and I love Mark the Days).

Most of the time bonus tracks on a CD single are made up of throw away songs that weren't deemed worthy to be on the album. These two songs are a definite exception to the rule. If you love Xymox's Phoenix album then this single is a must have. Not for the remix or the song you already have. For the songs you don't have, yet MUST have."
