"Aun recuerdo como si fuera ayer, yo vivia en la 7 y España y Xavier Pasos creo vivia por la primera, cerca del laguito. La primera cancion que escuche de el fue "Coral" despues vino "Isabel" la cual mi vecina presumia que se la habia escrito a ella.
Una de las estaciones de radio en Matamoros tenia una competencia entre Xavier Pasos y Rigo Tovar corri como tres cuadras a un telefono publico y cuando me pregunto el locutor por quien votas grite "Por el Flaco de Oro!" Gracias Xavier por todos los recuerdos."

"I like this album because this is the music that I grew up listening to. I heard it being played when MOM was cleaning the house, when PACO and I ran around in the studio, and when DAD would be practicing it to make it perfect. These are the only memories I have of him, and I wish that everyone would share them with me. Xavier Pasos is a great man and a terrific father that I wish I could have been closer to. If he himself ever reads it, Papi, yo te quiero mucho y nunca pasa un dia que no pienso en ti."
