"As a long time devotee of the singer-songwriter genre, I have had the distinct pleasure of hearing music and lyrics which are often overlooked by the masses. Starting with Kristofferson, Prine, Buffett and Walker, the years have kindly exposed me to the brilliance of so many more-Hubbard, Keen, LaFave, Wall, Griffith, Nunn, Clark, Pyle, Gilmore, Hancock, Shaver, Brown, Willis, Williams, Ramsey to name but a fraction. I am compelled to say that Mr. Porteus' offering immediately joins the ranks of the best. This is fabulous stuff. Whenever I hear songs that portray my own life's experiences more accurately than I could articulate myself, I realize the value of artists who truly possess what I call "The Gift"! Wyckham Porteus is blessed with a remarkable vision of life and an almost uncanny ability to paint vivid images with his prose. This is a recording to be embraced !"
So what if you can't pronounce his name, give him a listen

"I first heard GLORY from this album on public radio in Texas, had to run out and buy it. I'll admit it wasn't easy figuring out how to spell the artist's name from just a 'back announcement' but it was worth it. A lot of fine Austin musicians and some excellent tunes will offset a spelling bee any day of the week."
