Synopsis

Product Description
Wyatt Easterling follows a steady songwriting current that has made him one of Nashville s most prominent songwriters. I'm a songwriter with deep country and folk ties; I like to write little vignettes about everyday life. I confess to loving heartbreaking ballads, says Wyatt. His new release, Where this River Goes on High Horse Records captures his words and soul. From the title track to his duet with Jessi Colter Jennings (Sounds Like Life To Me) Wyatt s album is filled with simple truths and poignant stories. Produced by Celeste Krenz and Wyatt, Where this River Goes was recorded at Jay s Place and The Sound Shop Recording Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. Complimenting Easterling s poignant voicings and songs of sophisticated beauty are guitarist Danny Parks, keyboardist and engineer Jay Vernali, drummer Brian Burnett, and bassist Jon Vogt, Paul Jefferson, jimbe, cellists Jenny Lynn Young and Dave Henry, and backup singers Celeste Krenz, Buffy Lawson, Jessi Colter Jennings, and Sonny. Among the most notable is Sounds Like Life to Me with the great Jessi Colter Jennings and Modern Day Drifter, a song that gained national notoriety when country star Dierks Bently covered it on his most recent album. Easterling s take brings the song back to its roots, evoking a personal feel that only its songwriter could harness. Where This River Goes shows that there s no greater rush than hearing a songwriter sing his own stories. Wyatt embodies the finest qualities of Nashville Americana.
