Wonderful Album
anonymous | New York, USA | 03/17/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is the best album of Wu Fang I ever listen of. Wu Fang was born in Shanghai, China, she begins her guzheng lesson in the age of nine. The master of guzeng - Chang Yuan Wang, was her teacher. Wu Fang's playing of guzheng mixes the classical elements with modern elements. She not only is a guzheng player, but also a composer. Fuyu Botan is the 8th album of Wu Fang, some of the tracks in this album are for the remembrance for her sister, who was died in an earthquake in Japan. Wu Fang's father - Wu Shou Tian, also plays the erhu in track 03, as mourn for to his dead daughter."
It's a rare beauty

"Just tell to everyone, this is almost out of print album of Wu Fang, so hurry-up and grab it while available! It is less Chinese in melody and more New Age/Western in mood. This album is a special project of Wu Fang where each composition features her Gu-zheng and one another instrument or voice. For example the first track features vocal of the Japanese pop-singer Rikki, the other tracks is a duet of gu-zheng with either fortepiano, erhu, percussions, cello, violin, marimba, accordion, guitar or string orchestra. Please note that this is a COPY-CONTROL CD."
Inspiring and refreshing!

"I agree. This is probably her best album thus far. Inspiring and refreshing! I hope to see her material on North American shelves some day..."
