Wolfe & Powell are Steve Wolfe, on saxophone, and Paige Powell, who plays acoustic guitar. It's an unusual combination, but all of the songs are original compositions, written by Paige Powell, whose motto is "The world needs more great melodies". Melody is central to each song, memorable and "hum-able". If you love smooth jazz, this is the CD for you! There are also a few Latin beats and Spanish-style guitar strums. The music is happy, romantic, and was recorded with lots of fun and creativity. The "Cappuccino Music" CD is printed with a plain glazed doughnut to go with your coffee! To keep the guitar interesting, Paige has used a lot of alternative guitar tunings, including a little-known Bb tuning she picked up from Joni Mitchell.
