CD ReviewsAnother obscure gem for my collection. EtherealCereal | Michigan | 03/31/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "Wlud was a band that formed in the town of Colmar, France, back in the late 70's, by Phillipe Wendling (keyboards), Bernard Labroche (guitar), Gigi Untersinger (Bass) and Giovanni Drago (drums). The group name came from the first letters of their last names. All members had experienced various degrees of musical training and had discovered that they had a mutual liking for progressive rock. They set out to create a style of music that would speak to the listener with no lyrics whatsoever. This CD is a masterpiece of French progressive rock/fusion, ranking along the likes of Weather Report or Mahavishnu Orchestra in terms of melody, harmony, and musical virtuosity (although some may say that French band Carpe Diem did the same thing, only better). It is a welcome addition to my collection and will be a treat for progressive music lovers everywhere."
