CD Reviews

We Are Scientists rock on this album and live!

"I saw them last weekend in Hartford on their fall tour with The Red Walls and Hot Hot Heat, and they rocked! I had never heard of them before, but they were awesome. Immediately after their set, I went to the merchandise booth and bought their 3 song single with video. (Nobody Get Move Nobody Get Hurt, History Repeats, and Much Mas w/ the video for Nobody Move Nobody Get Hurt.) I had them all sign it too while they were out and about in the crowd listening to the other bands. They are really nice guys. When I left the concert I popped the cd in and listened to it on repeat the whole way home, and have been listening to it at home ever since. "Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt" is pretty catchy. I can sing along already. Well, listening to it like 50 times in the first 24 hours might do that for you. The songs on this sample are all different from each other, not the same beats with different words like a lot of bands. It doesn't get old. They will be on the tops of the charts before you know it. I can't wait for the full-length cd due out on January 10th... on my birthday. It's fate!"
The BEST single ever!

"I am completely convinced that this single will end up somewhere on "The O.C." this season. Now whether or not you think that is a good thing - you can't help but admire this song. It's catchy, but not annoying - and the music video is HIGHLY entertaining.

This is a very unique and fun (and slightly nutty) band with more quirks than Prince. I have come to love the randomness and also the intelligence of the lyrics of the CDs in the U.S.

Way to go for WAS - I'll see you around.

Mel

P.S. I'm sending my dance audition."
I'm probably going to explode, it's true

"I bought this CD and put it onto my computer as an mp3. I have listened to it, according to Audioscrobbler, 59 times in 11 days, and am still loving it.

I honestly only thought it was 30 or so. I guess that's a sign of how good this song is, you listen to it 59 times and it only seems as if you've listened to it 30 or so.

Yeah, great song, great band. (...)"
