"You'd think that after living Pete Way's life for 35 years it would be pretty tough to even get up in the morning, much less actually get on stage and play coherently or with fire and passion, but you'd be surprised in this case. Pete has got so much work on the front burner, what with UFO on tour, Waysted reborn, and Damage Control as well, he may not even be aware he's actually supposed to be dead.



The Organized Chaos CD covers the revitalized Waysted playing a Glasgow club on their British tour of 2005, and all you need to know is that Pete plays just fine, and Fin remains on vocals, and in fine form, as always. There are great live versions of Love Loaded, Toy With The Passion, Heaven Tonight, and especially Hang Em High, as well as some tunes off the new album they were then touring to support, again better than one would guess from what by all standards should be retread rockers. The whole band sounds great, you can just about hear the sweat from the stage, and the small audience is suitably intoxicated and enthusiastic and they know their Waysted stuff.



On the down side, there are some rock and roll medleys of non-Waysted songs which tend to go on. Since Pete Way does not lack for outstanding musical material going back to 1969, why he'd want to jumble up the miscellaneous tunes he here presents is a mystery.



If you like hard rock as presented by UFO/Pete Way and the like, you will be surprised at how solid this material is."
