CD Reviews

Sweeter indeed!
David Egan | Seattle, WA USA | 07/24/2002

"This is the followup CD to "Forever" (formerly "American Bandstand") from Wayne Horvitz and Zony Mash acoustic. It's another collection of pianistic tone poems, introverted, but no less than ravishingly beautiful. It's hard to call this jazz exactly - I think of it more as songs Debussy or Ravel might have written had they lived today and had some jazz influence. This is definitely on my top 10 list for the year. Try it - you won't be dissapointed!"

"This cd is new... It's different. Wayne Horvitz expresses a beautiful melancholy I've found nowhere else. Listen to the first few measures of the firt song... And the little parade... it expresse something... something like... nostalgic childishness. Oh, it's good."
