"I had never heard Rob Rock before but I do own the previous Warrior discs, so I figured that it would be good. I was not disappointed. Joe Floyd's riffs are as solid as ever and the singing was on target. This record has all of the feel of the traditional warrior sound while being updated for the new century. The album has good, tight sounding metal tunes. The rythym section pounds along while the guitar playing is furious and melodic. Standout cuts are "Day of Reckoning", "Kill the Machine", "Code of Life" and "We are One". If you like traditional metal, you will like this CD."

Warrior rocks on by adding Rob Rock

"Having heard that Rob Rock had joined Warrior as their lead vocalist I knew I had to check out this album. I was not disappointed !!!Rock's voice sounds awesome on this album, the guitars are thick and crunchy, and the production quality is very good. There are a few very minor touches of modern industrial samples on this album, but overall its straight ahead hard rock. This album sounds similar to Rock's recent solo album. The songs aren't as fast as Impellitteri's stuff, but the guitar work is outstanding. Check it out."

"I have the past Warrior albums, so as one other reviewer wrote, I anticipated that I would not be disappointed and man was that line of thinking correct. This is the best one of the three Warrior offerings and it smokes from beginning to end as well as leaving you wishing it was longer. The band really showed wisdom by having Rob Rock man the vocals, this man does an awesome job. If you like this bands stuff before you best be gettin' while the gettin' is good. If you feel that Firewind and Rob Rocks solo stuff rules then you owe it to your ears to have this platter to feast on too. This is one super duper album, well worth the price and not something to be without...and the lyrics are something your children can learn from...or even your parents if your so inclined to let them borrow it!!!"

Awesome mix of the old and new!

"I read a good review of this CD, but still wasn't sure since it has been 15 years since the classic debut "Fighting For The Earth" (which I love). I listened to the clips and ended up buying it. But, when I actually got it into my CD player - I was blown away! Rob Rock does a great job in the vocal department (even occasionally sounding like the original singer) and the guitar-work is nothing short of awesome. There is a great mix of classic WARRIOR riffing and updated guitar sound that is never boring. Jump straight to track #4 if you crave a taste of the classic WARRIOR sound and turn it up! Not a bad track on here - you will not be disappointed!"

"I am a fan of late 70's, 80's-type metal: Def Leppard High N Dry (after that they got 'wimp rock'); early Iron Maiden, early Priest, Halford's latest, Ozzy, Armored Saint, Dio to name a few. I enjoy the Impellitteri albums that Warrior vocalist Rob Rock sings on, but the guitar there has gotten repetitive. I also like Rob's solo album, Rage of Creation. With all that said, this album has got to be the best of all of Rob's efforts (always excellent vocals)! This album just basically rocks! Day of Reckoning, Kill The Machine, Standing, and We Are One (the talking 'angry' tone of voice at the beginning of this song is really cool!) are the first four songs and are all just classic metal/rock and roll! Open Your Eyes is just a slight bit slower, but still pretty heavy on the guitar. Pantheon is a short, instrumental break, I guess they needed a breather! Code Of Life and Sole Survivor are once again good metal/hard rockers. The Endless Beginning is the only song on this CD that I honestly just don't care for (I don't like the chorus). The Fool's Theme is not quite as hard edged as the others, but still pretty good. Insignificance is yet another short, instrumental interlude. The final song is Retribution, which is again 'fist in your face' metal. Ever get an album where you like EVERY song? You know, like Priest's Hell Bent For Leather? This is an album where I really do like every song (except for Endless Beginning). I highly recommend this album for people who like the groups I mentioned above. Also, if you like this type of music, I suggest checking out Pontus Norgren's Damage Done, and Jekyll & Hyde's two albums."
