Album Description

The first of three volumes that will comprehensively reissue all of the surviving OKeh, Columbia and Epic recordings of this hugely important Chicago soul man. This volume covers 1962-65. It is built around his first OKeh album "It?s All Over", supplemented by 10 bonus cuts ? nine of which are previously unissued. The words "Produced by Carl Davis and Curtis Mayfield, arranged by Riley Hampton" will be enough to ensure maximum sales to lovers of quality mid-60s soul everywhere. Virtually none of this material has ever been available on CD before, anywhere in the world. The OKeh label is still a byword in quality for 60s soul fans. Watch for our second volume of Walter Jackson OKeh masterpieces later in 2006.
