Synopsis

Album Description
Just when you thought it was safe to like tepid country rock and third-rate indie-rock posturing again, THE BROTHERS ARE BACK!!! On this "wee-CD" (10 songs, 31 minutes, budget-priced--to please the little socialist in all of us), they deliver more of the high lonesome spit and three-chord frontal assaults you've come to need. This one features songs left over from the first two records that were just too damn good to let lie.

CD Reviews

Freaking perfect
10/30/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"You can't throw a beer bottle anymore without hitting some alt-country wannabee. The Wacos are far and away the best of the lot, and this is far and away their best disc. Langford has the fire-in-the-belly of Billy Jo Shaver (without the gut.) This is loud, rude, and fo-real. This is the best of rock and country, without becoming (pause to spit) country rock."
Honky tonk punk
03/05/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A great collection of punch-drunk honky tonk punk. Just the opening track alone is worth the price of admission."
Great Introduction to the Waco Brothers

(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is a great disc for three spectacular songs: "Arizona Rose", "Napa Valley", and "South Bend." The rest of the songs are damned fine also. Highly recommended."
