Synopsis

Album Description
Produced by Gary Usher of Byrds fame, the Wackers? 1971 debut was out of step with the heavy (Led Zep) and heavily produced (Pink Floyd) fare in fashion at the time, full of jangly guitars, three-part harmonies and rock ?n? roll attitude. The predictable result: mediocre sales but great critical acclaim! And, boy, does this record sound good now!

CD Reviews

Fantastic music, horrible sound
James R. Parrett | toronto, canada | 12/08/2005
(2 out of 5 stars)

"I had the vinyl of this wonderful album. Great, great rock and soaring harmonies. Then this CD comes along. Harsh to the point of sibilence, the thin sound robs all the warmth and dimension from the sound. Rob Fisher's mastering is an abomination. This is classic rock and pop that deserves good - no, great - sound. This is truly one of the worst-sounding CD's I have ever heard. Pity, because it is also one of the best albums of all time. 5 stars for the music. -5 for the mastering."
