Synopsis

Album Description
2009 release from the Brooklyn-based all-girl Alt-Rock trio. Everything Goes Wrong is a darker, moodier album than its predecessor, with a couple tracks clocking in at almost twice the length of anything on their debut. That said, the influences remain the same; Ramones, '60s girl groups, Surf, Indie Pop, etc. This is immediately classic stuff. Over the last year, the Vivian Girls have toured the US and Europe extensively, received a considerable amount of national and international press, sparked fierce debate as to whether they are a refreshing blast of unselfconscious punk rock energy or a crew of contemptible, incompetent posers and, perhaps most significant of all, become the subject of a question on the Jeopardy game show. Everything Goes Wrong 13 tracks.

CD Reviews

I have total faith in this band
Kirk Austin Duval | Austin, TX | 10/16/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I got this album after after hearing samples of the Surfin Away\Second Date single. i am blown away by the song writing and the energy. The Vivian Girls are playing two shows in Austin TX today (an in-store at Waterloo and later at Red7) and I have a feeling my level of fandom will be through the roof after seeing them live. check out "tension" , "the end", and "the desert" from this cd and you'll see what the fuss is about. i have total faith in this band."
