"A new release featuring the soundtrack music of Roy Budd is a LONG time overdue, sspecially with current djs and producers like Thunderball, Karminsky Experience, Second Sky, Bobby Hughes, Troublemakers, Chris Joss, etc... making music that points back to this style of funky, eclectic cinematica.

These tracks are mostly original recordings, but there are also some remixes by Bobby Hughes (its great!) and Karminsky Experience (actually not musch different than the original, just some added bass guitar.)

The tracks on this CD represent the best years of Budd's career. However, some of the song choices seem odd. I'm suprised that the focus wasn't more on stricktly funky tracks. The ENTIRE "Diamonds" sountrack is incredible, and a few great cuts from "The Stone Killer" were omitted in favor of some slightly lesser choices here. I suggest picking up those to OSTs first.

An release of all-remixes would be a great thing too. But in the mean time, this is a great tribute to my personal favourite of soundtrack composers.
