CD Reviews

A wonderful companion!
Gene R. Obrien | Union, New Jersey | 10/04/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This cd is an absolutely wonderful companion to Victor's autobiography. Not only does the man himself tell you many of the true stories that are contained in the book, but he does it in front of the audience that he loves so much and that loves him in return.

It makes for a wonderful time as you hear the audience feed off his stories and Victor in turn feeds off of them. You get to hear first hand, the infamous Princess Margaret story, the great stories of working with The Beatles and of course, you hear of the dear friendship that Victor had with Richard and Elizabeth Burton. Certainly not told in the 'then I did this, then I did that' type of story telling. This cd is told by an animated and excited Victor Spinetti and FEEL his excitement and he tells these stories.

As I said, this makes the perfect companion to his autobiography, Up Front, now out in paperback and hardcover.

I envy the British having such a treasure in Victor Spinetti."
