Synopsis

Album Description
Imagine Beck decided to record a lo-fi soul induced pop filled album possibly heavily influenced by Wilco. Blood And Clover was recorded on a four track in cold Minneapolis, Erik Appelwick?s first full length album stirs a feel of summer and warmth. Soul-filled pop songs "Blue Tuesday" and "Until The End Of Time" make you want to move to the groove and "shake that ass on the dance floor." Other songs such as "Sinister Summer" "Gate 14-A" and "Such A Drag" deliver the eclectic pop style that Erik Appelwick communicates. Erik Appelwick?s sense of diverse groove and soul on Blood And Clover is what sets this album apart. Erik Appelwick is a singer-songwriter with a bag of tricks and one to watch out for in the future.

CD Reviews

AMAZING DEBUT ALBUM!
Clyde E. Barretto | Miami, Florida | 10/07/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The debut CD for Erik Appelwick a.k.a. VICIOUS VICIOUS seriously delivers some intense soul induced pop filled tunes! Eclectic songs ranging from the groove filled "SHAKE THAT ASS ON THE DANCE FLOOR" to the alt-country vibe of "GATE 14-A" to the trippy soul crazed "SUCH A DRAG" show that the writing capablities of Erik Appelwick are definitely not limited to what he can record on a four track. This could have been something Beck would have done if he ever decided to record a lo-fi soul induced pop album. With ten tracks in less than forty minutes it keeps you wanting for more. This is a definitely a great debut album for one of the more exciting singer song writers out there."
