Synopsis

Amazon.com
This is one of those records crafted purely to dance around to and have a great time with. "We're Going to Ibiza" has to be one of the catchiest dance-pop songs of the late '90s; luckily the rest of the Vengaboys' greatest-hits collection provides similarly hedonistic, gloriously vapid pleasures. The Vengaboys' sound is what might happen if one were to throw Ace of Base, Stardust, and Miami Sound Machine into a blender and press the Purée button. The group (two women and two men) may look like a Saturday morning Spice Girls-meets-the-Village People cartoon, but their sound is not quite as campy as they look; it's all about fun--nothing more, nothing less. --Mike McGonigal

Wow, so do you remember the Vengaboys, the dance sensation of the late 90's and early 2000's? I do, and so will all your partygoers when they hear this Vengaboys "greatest" mix, which includes "We like to Party," and "Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom." Hello kitch packaged up in a nice album and tied with a catchy beat bow.

"Okay, I admit it: I got sucked in by that Six Flags commercial too. Glad that I did! There's no deep, dark, hidden messages in songs like 'Boom Boom Boom' and 'We Like to Party' - just happy bouncey beats. If you like techno, dance or Europop you need to add this to your collection."
