Dream Dance vol. 17 Review
Alex | USA | 09/16/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The Dream Dance series has always been my favorite techno/trance source, due to the fact that here in the US I am forced to listen to rediculous house music with no flavor. As most people of the US know, the techno/trance we have here is almost like the house: bland and redundant. However, the Dream Dance series is the best techno/trance series around. I have heard all of them and own 11, but this one is BY FAR the best one to date. This is some of the best, most dance-able, and fun-able trance CD's to date. If you want a song to sample, check out my favorite "Infinity," by CJ Stone. This song is Japanese Biwas meeting Industrial trance. It is the best song (or I think it is) on the CD. Almost every song is so full of attitude, and they all sound different. Some will use bells, synthesizers, guitars, and even (my favorite) the Biwa. THIS CD GETS 5 STARS ON THE SCALE, BUT MUCH HIGHER ON A PERSONAL LEVEL!!"
This volume is WUNDERBAR!

"If you've read other Dream Dance Series reviews, you can find a couple of similarities among the reviewers: We're loyal fans of the series, and those who are first-timers, become loyal fans. It's so refreshing to buy the volumes, knowing that Dream Dance will deliver the best in progressive dance/techno/trance there is. All of the songs are great, with awesome beats and beautiful melodies. Not all the songs have lyrics, and the ones that do, are not repetitive - everything is timed perfectly. But the best thing about this album is that the songs, although most are mixed, are not 20 minutes long. I don't know about you, but I can't stand it when I go to a club and stay there for two hours and then realize, as I'm leaving, that I've only heard 3 songs the entire night. The average song on this album is about 3:40, multiply that by 30 and you've got some time to realize how great life really is."
