CD Reviews

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT!!!

"YO, THIS ALBUM IS ALRIGHT COMING WITH SOME NEW JOINTS BUT MOST OF THE SONGS I HAVE ALREADY HEARD. I KNOW SOME OTHER PEOPLE ALREADY HEARD MOST OF THESE TRACKS TOO(WU-HEADZ). THIS CD IS A BANGER EVEN THOUGH I HAVE HEARD MOST OF THEM. HAVING DIFFERENT WU MEMBERS COLLABORATED ON THIS PIECE MAKES THIS ALBUM TIGHT. SHYHEIM, BUDDAH MONK, BLACK NIGHTS, LETHA FACE, FREESTYLE LIVE OF MASTA KILLAH AND GZA. OFF THE METER. COP IT IF U R A WU-HEAD."
An Excellent Addition

"Some of these other reviews on Amazon of this particular CD are rather vague and weak, so let me set this straight for everyone.Being a Wu-Tang (major) fan, I bought this CD, because I loved the compilation RZA made on the first Wu-Chronicles.Different from the original Wu-Chronicles however, there are many un-released songs on this disc.I'd say this CD was excellent. Excellent lyrics, although it took some time getting used to the beats, they too were great. This is a total variety of rap styles from the Wu. On "Three Amigos (If It's On)" we have Method Man co-oping with King Just and Sic on a very phat track that I never get tired of listening to. Some songs, like on the original Wu-Chronicles, are a little weird, and are still growing on me. I'd probably say that Wu-Chronicles part II is almost as good as the 1st, but due to the varying styles on this CD, it is uncomparable. My suggestion is to pickup this CD, as everyone will find some tracks they love, and others that will grow on them.Note: If you became a Wu-Fan after 1998, then you probably took some time getting used to the basic Wu Albums like Forever and Enter the Wu-Tang, thus, you may find it the same way here on Wu-Chronicles Chapter II.Overall: This is actually a prelude to the Iron Flag-2002 season, as the Wu has plans of releasing nearly 10-12 albums in the next 12 months or so. I highly suggest you buy this CD."
3.5 star follow up for Chapter II of the Wu-Chronicles

"For starters, this ain't a bad album, just there is so much more Wu-Material from their 2nd go around that could have and should have been on here but wasn't. Just like the Swarm series, Vol. 1 is better than Vol. 2. Unlike the 1st Chronicles, there aren't alot of joints from the solo Wu albums, and not even all the members of teh Wu are on here (no Ghostface, Raekwon, or Cappadonna). You still get some Wu-affiliates (Sunz of Man, Shyheim, Gravediggaz) but also a lot of others on here. With 17 songs, 5 are new so it's not really Chronicles. Of the 17, 2 are classics, 2 are near classics, 3 I skip, 4 or 5 are ok, the other 6 or so are good not great (other than one of them). For Wu fans it's still a ncie album to have just should have been better.
