"Wow! Buy this record for one song alone--Princess Stewart's haunting, androgynous "I'm Not Gonna Let Nobody Stop Me." After you've listened to it 5,000 times, move one track back, to The Helen Robinson Youth Choir's high-octane "Sit Down Children." Both songs were previously unreleased, as are so many others on this fantastic compilation. Admittedly, this disc's too rich to listen to in one sitting, no matter how sanctified a Sunday morning you might be striving for. Still, even if a few songs a day for the next several years don't get you a place in the heavenly choir, they'll improve your diurnal round and make your circadian rhythms sing and swing. Gives new meaning, and good weight, to the phrase "Sisters Are Doing It for Themselves.""
