The Brian Woodbury Songbook is a collection of songs by the eclectic, eccentric (erstwhile TV-theme penning) songwriter. It features a host of singers, including Jill Sobule, Terre Roche of the Roches, David Yazbek (composer/lyricist of Broadway's The Full Monty) and Sean Altman of Rockapella. A concert version of this project featured Lisa Loeb. The singers and others are backed up the best of New York's downtown music scene. The music is a tour from Bollywood through Boy Band pop to Americana ballad by way of quirky alt-pop and psychedelic Broadway.
