The slow jams really touched home with its up-front lyrics.
(3 out of 5 stars)
"The tracks on the CD and the movie itself harmonized perfectly with that old high school feeling of crushes, player mentality and those games people used to play in the hallway that you never missed or thought you would miss until after graduation and prom night when you said good-bye to your homeboys and homegirls and got that first reality shock of the independant world. Girlfriend was one of those songs that kind of reminded me of "Beauty" of Dru Hill in which the lyrics and thoughts were simple in the fact that it told that it was all about a girl who caught your attention in a way and or reason that just seems so different from others that you had to make it more than just a vision in your mind or opportunity never taken. "After" by 7 Mile... well it pretty much reminds me of that feeling of "Even though we had our ups and downs and never knew how those good days out weighed all of our bad days. And now I miss you like crazy." The theme song I must admit that I didn't follow enough on it to comment but booty shakin' songs... what would a movie about high school teens be with out a little twurkin'."
