"This album is described in the sub-title "Ensemble of Traditional Instruments of Japan". You will hear traditional instruments, not traditional music. All pieces are modern or arranged in a modern style.



For my taste, I find attempts to "modernize" (read presenting Japanese music in western traditional styles) Japanese traditional music missing the point. But. The execution and performance is superb. So while it is done well and sounds very nice (I only listened to the first 3 cuts), don't get it if you are expecting traditional music."
