"the Kill Rock Stars comps are always discs I eagerly await....there is no better way to find out about new bands, ones a person probably never would have heard unless exposed to through a compKRS has done it again...good good......there are all the indie staples here: Superchunk, Xiu Xiu, Decembrists, C Average, (...) Capricorns, King Cobra, Gas Huffer and others....but the real finds are the ones I didn't know about: Lovers, John Wilkes Booze, Biography of Ferns, Laura Veirs, Wiretap..... I appreciate this label's vision and willingness to take chances by exposing listeners to a broad range of styles....this album has indie, folk, techno, casio rock, acoustic, heavy rock, sci fi....all the tracks are good and are a solid polaroid of contemporary indie music at this moment in time...... the new Superchunk track is crazy good!!!thanks again for turning me on to some new musickeep it up-Jed Glower"

"2 cds of all new tracks from staple and upcoming bands alike....the cd has the breadth and eclecticism that krs has evolved into since it's riot grrrl foundations, showcasing: indie rock, singer/songwriter, folk, electronic, art rock, casio jams..it' all herei really enjoyed laura veirs, the decembrists, thanksgiving, measles mumps rubbella, male slut and the superchunk track is just plain sweetthese comp discs are always rewarding and i'm glad krs is continuing the tradition of the original 90's era trilogy of comps they put out"
