CD Reviews

An excellent collection from easy listening to dance music.

"This collection of songs has a variety of styles that goes with different types of tejanos. From the ones that like to kick back and down some Coronas to the ones that get down down to cumbias at the dance clubs. The one song that I can not get enought of is Texas Latinos "El Chiflado". It is just the perfect type cumbia to get down to. Put in La Tropa F and you have a good dance combination. Then you have the Pulidos and intocable with the laid back styles and this c.d.'s almost perfect for all Tejanos. I highly recommend this collection to all my fellow latinos."

"This is a gread cd that I am proud to own. So many of the songs carry many memories for me from that time period. "Amor Maldito" by Intocable is a beautiful song about being heartbroken. "Cuantas Veces?" by Mazz is a love song about wanting someones love. "Que Paso?" by Jennifer Pena Y Los Jetz came out when she was just 15 years old and she had significantly improved her vocal skills by this time and the song is very good, it's all about where has the love gone. Of cource this cd would not be complete without David Lee Garza-"Te Quiero,Te Amo", this was a major hit for them, and it was always being played on the radio, it was a big favorite of mine and one of my best friends. David Lee Garza: "WE LOVE YOU". "Te Juro" by Margarita was a debut song for her at that particular time. The video is a very sexy, she is so flirtatious with a handsome, muscular latino guy. "Le Pedire" by Bobby Pulido was another big hit for him, I remember it was always being played on the radio stations, it's a sad love song, it's very uplifting. "El Azucar" by La Tropa F, is so fast, catchy and foot stomping, it's about being bitten by ants because the person is like sugar, very fun song. Oh, you could never hear the radio station without the song "El Chiflado" by Texas Latino playing all the time. It was another big hit then, and in the clubs, yes I do remember dancing to this song in the latin clubs at that particular time. This song is hot and all about wanting to dance with that certain person. I highly recommend this cd, it is so great!!!"

"In all my years of being involved with the tejano music industry, not just as a fan but as a direct supporter... This album is the best by far that I have listened to in a long time. From David Lee Garza to The Desperado's. The music just makes you want to get out of your seat and dance. Some of the conjunto's are just uplifting. Get this CD and make sure you add it to your collection. Manny B! Music Productions..."
