Sweet Bossa is a compilation of bossa nova covers of Burt Bacharach tracks, celebrating Bacharach's fiftieth anniversary. Instrumentation here is often light, and a bit jazzy -- and the overall structure and arrangements of the tunes is quite different from Burt's original conception -- which makes the record a really fresh take on his music.
