"K-Tel's "Superstars Greatest Hits" is a three disc comp (all sold separately) that is the ONLY release in the K-tel "Classic Reissue Series" to exactly duplicate the track listing of the original vinyl release (originally a two-record set, sold together initially, later as individual records) with only one exception: "Rocket Man" by Elton John has been replaced by "Be Thankful For What You Got" by William De Vaughn. Volume Three has ten of the original thirty songs, remastered beautifully, including three which are not otherwise readily available: "Werewolf" by Five Man Electrical Band, "Pretty Lady" by Lighthouse, and "Virginia (Touch Me Like You Do)" by Bill Amesbury (now known as Barbara Amesbury, according to Billboard's Top Adult Songs Book!) The unearthing of these tracks makes this a worthwhile purchase for collectors, but the uninitiated should find this an entertaining disc with such period pieces as "The Night the Lights Went Out In Georgia" by Vicki Lawrence, "Heartbeat - It's A Lovebeat" by the De Franco Family, and "The Morning After" by Maureen Mc Govern. Especially if this can be gotten used and on the cheap (but even if it can't be, and you must pay full price), BUY IT NOW!!!!"
