CD Reviews

Soothing and relaxing.

"This CD has pure sounds of the ocean and nothing else. There is no music on it, and there are no other interruptions. I like to lie in bed at the end of the day with my ear phones on and listen, as it takes all the stress away. It's great for helping to relieve a headache, and is a wonderful tool for anyone who has trouble sleeping. This tape will help you drift off to sleep in no time! If you close your eyes while listening, it's like having the ocean right at your bedroom window."

"I have purchased several recordings of the ocean over the years, and the quality has varied quite a bit. Some have too much hiss and sound more like rolling static, and others sound like swishing bathwater. But this recording is just right. It's realistic, consistent throughout the entire hour, and has no music or birds, just pure surf. It sounds great on any size stereo, and if your system has an equalizer you can adjust it for different acoustics. The lower rumbling sounds can only be heard through larger speakers, but there's enough body and definition in the mid and high ranges to sound just as good on a smaller bedroom system. I play this CD every night on repeat mode on my Bose Wave Music System. It's very soothing, helps me fall asleep faster, and drowns out all those little bumps-in-the-night that might wake me up.

I also recommend Waterfall and Rain in the Country, two more titles in the Sounds of the Earth series."

"It used to take me 30-45 minutes to fall asleep at night, even with soft music playing on the radio next to my bed. Now I pop this in the CD and I am sound asleep in less than 5, and I feel more rested in the morning, too. I think it puts me in a deepr level of sleep than I had been able to attain on my own or with just music in the background."
